Luxury Home Theater Chairs

Seating is secondary to most Canadian home theater owners, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. In fact, home theater seating should be as much a part of your budget as your screen and speaker system, and should be given just as much thought.

You’ll find all sorts of seats in any Canadian home theater department, from basic chairs and benches to luxury home theater seats that cost a few thousand dollars. Perhaps the most common seating option is the home theater recliner, which lends a warm, welcoming feel to your room. Leather-upholstered recliners are no doubt the best option, as they are both durable and comfortable.

Home theater sectional seats are also an increasingly popular option. Although less ‘luxurious’ than recliners, they can accommodate more people without sacrificing comfort. Sectional seats occasionally come with leather upholstery, but vinyl and faux leather are more common in Canadian home theater shops.

For a more romantic mood, try getting a love seat or a two-seater sofa. This is especially ideal for small home theaters with limited room for seating. If you need extra seating for guests, a small sectional couch or a couple of recliners should be enough.

After buying your furniture, make sure to position them properly in your home theater. Take note of the ideal viewing distance (approximately three times the size of the screen) and place the seats at comfortable viewing angles.
