Home Theater Sectional

Home theater sectional seating is a popular choice for large home theaters. The sectional style gives your room an old-school theater look while maintaining a feel of luxury and comfort. Once considered ‘specialty’ seating for home theaters, home theater sectional seats are now one of the most commonly used seating styles for Canadian home theater systems.

Sectional seats resemble long couches divided into separate sections with soft bars and armrests. This allows you to accommodate more people without giving up style or comfort. Most of them are heavily padded for additional comfort and warmth. The seats range from two-seater sectional units to larger ones that can accommodate five or more.

It’s important to consider the upholstery material of your sectional seating. Most Canadian home theater stores will carry vinyl and faux leather seats, which come in a wide range of colors and patterns to suit any home theater décor. If you want a more luxurious feel, go for a leather sectional seat—it’s more expensive, but it’s a lot smoother and usually lasts longer.

When you’ve chosen the right sectional seats, you should also consider their placement. Take into account the size of your screen and the available floor area for seating. The general rule is to keep a distance of three times the screen size between the screen and the seats (i.e. 150 inches for a 50-inch TV).
